Hazard Detection using custom ESP32 Microcontroller and LoRa
Аннотация
The article presents a novel approach to collecting and transmitting data across large distances without relying on an internet connection for additional processing. This is accomplished by using a custom ESP32 microcontroller and sensors, capable of reliably detecting fire in forests and farms while maintaining low power consumption. By designing a low-cost and low-power device, the system enables users to deploy sender units that can collect and send data over an extended period without needing maintenance. The system utilizes the LoRa Network to facilitate data transmission, making it feasible to deploy these units in rural areas without internet service. The presented solution showcases the potential of the ESP32 microcontroller platform for collecting and transmitting data over long distances with minimal power consumption.
