In the field of economic development, the macroeconomic situation plays an important role through its specific indicators in the national economy, which directly affects the conditions for the development of the entire economy. Applying the method of identifying cause-and-effect relationships, it is of great importance to identify the basic indicators among the system of indicators, depending on which other macroeconomic indicators are formed. The article considers the indicators of GDP, the level of inflation and inflationary factors, taxes and the functions of the tax system.
