Prevention of water losses in Zarafshan-Gagarin main water system
Аннотация
This article presents the main results of scientific research on preventing water loss in main water systems. Today, this research is one of the most pressing issues for the region. To this end, experimental studies were carried out on standard laboratory equipment in fluid mechanics, and a method was developed to calculate the overpressures that occur in systems and cause many accidents. Suppose the average value of the pressure in the specified section is less than 1 atmospheric pressure, i.e. Patm.=101.325 kPa, no overpressure will occur in the system, and the water supply system will be allowed to start. If the average pressure value in the specified section is higher than Patm.=101.325 kPa, then adverse events in the system may occur due to the formation of overpressure. The results of our research show that the pressure exerted by the flow of water passing through pipes of different diameters on the pipe walls will be different. The average pressure inside the Venturi nozzle in our fluid mechanics standard laboratory equipment was Pex.pr.=2.385 kPa. This means that the Venturi nozzle can easily withstand the pressure Ppump=235.2 kPa supplied by the pump, and no accidents will ever occur due to overpressure in systems operating at such readings. To prevent accidents and water losses in the system, it is necessary and necessary to make accurate calculations of the overpressure during the test.
