DESIGNING CLOTHING FOR CHILDREN WITH ORTHOPEDIC DEFECTS

This article examines the technology of production of special clothing designed for children during the treatment of orthopedic diseases, in particular such a disease as hip dislocation, analyzes the existing in our country types of clothing for children with orthopedic defects, as well as their foreign analogues. The physical and mechanical parameters of fabrics for the production of special children’s clothing were determined, and recommendations for basic and additional types of materials for the clothing of children with orthopedic defects were developed based on the results of the research. A total of 180 children aged from 0 to 11 months in the city of Tashkent and Jizzax province were examined. Among the fixation bandages for the hip joint the widely used Freik splint in 5 sizes was recommended. Taking into account natural and climatic conditions of Uzbekistan and on the basis of the results of studies on the design of special clothing for children with orthopedic defects, a set of special clothing made of cotton fabric of domestic production was formed.
