Through an examination of notable works such as "Great Expectations," "Tess of the d'Urbervilles," "Jane Eyre," and "Middlemarch," as well as the influence of the Pre-Raphaelite movement, the article provides insights into the complexities surrounding women's lives and aspirations in Victorian England.
