Kinetics of changes of tribotechnical properties of polymeric materials in period of running-in

The article presents the study results of the influence of the type of polymers and friction modes on the duration of the running-in of polymeric materials during friction with various materials. The kinetics of changes in the temperature in the friction zone (T fr ), friction coefficient (f), the height of micro asperities (R z ), and the radius of the tops of asperities (r) during the running-in period have been studied.
