Аннотация

Iodine deficiency is an actual problem, both in the medical field and in the social aspect. Chronic iodine deficiency is associated with an increased risk of hypothyroidism. In addition, there has been a reported association between iodine deficiency and preeclampsia, potentially mediated by a decrease in antioxidant capacity and prolonged stimulation of the endothelium by elevated levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone. The study was conducted in the Department of Pathology of pregnant women, as well as in the maternity ward at the Andizhan Perinatal Center from November 2022 to April 2023. The medical histories of the patients were studied which were admitted to inpatient treatment for gestational hypertension and preeclampsia.
