Advantages of smart grid over conventional integrated electrical system (IES)

Currently, the use of intellectual power networks and digital technologies in the development of the energy system is one of the urgent tasks. There is no way to constantly modernize the energy system without the use of information and digital technologies. The implementation of the use of fundamentally new methods in the energy sector and its integration into a holistic, interconnected and independent infrastructure will answer many accumulated questions today. The purpose of this scientific work is to consider various aspects of Smart Grid technology and compare its advantages over conventional power grid. To solve this posed task, it was achieved by using the following methods of theoretical research: systematic analysis and methods of comparison. The article shows the advantages of the intellectual energy sector over the traditional energy sector. Scientifically substantiated evidence is presented in favor of the development of the future energy system. The basic architecture of Smart Grid technology is described. The introduction of smart Grid technology based on the intellectual energy grid it is the reduction of load on the power grid, the reduction of electricity shortages on the grid due to the introduction of renewable energy sources, and a certain level of economic efficiency is achieved by managing the loadings.
