Pre-school children physical development, morbidity and actual nutrition
Аннотация
A study on the physical growth, morbidity and actual nutrition of pre-school children has been conducted. The results showed that 76% of children had a medium level of physical growth, 8% had an above medium level of physical growth, 2% had a high level, 8% had a below medium level and 6% had a low level of physical growth. A percentage of children equal 82 were harmoniously developed, and 28% of children showed some changes in their somatometric indicators. The in-depth medical examination revealed that only 17% of the children were practically healthy (I health group), 70% of those examined were in II health group, 13% were in III health group in assessing the morbidity of children. The main categories of diseases were the following (in order of importance): diseases of the respiratory system (27.9%), diseases of the digestive system (25.1%), diseases of the musculoskeletal system (18.4%) and endocrine, nutritional or metabolic diseases (17.1%). An assessment of children’s health indicators shows that 83% of pre-school children need to improve health. The actual nutrition of pre-school children is not rational, as there is a lack of animal protein, vitamins, macro- and microelements in diets, i.e. those nutrients that mostly provide the resistance to diseases and negative impact of the environment.
