Аннотация

Diabetic neuropathy is the most common complication of diabetes mellitus (DM), affecting up to 50% of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Diabetic peripheral neuropathy suggests the presence of symptoms or signs of peripheral nerve dysfunction in people with diabetes mellitus after excluding other possible causes. This article allows us to get a general idea of inpatient DM patients, assess their deep and superficial sensitivity of the lower extremities in order to identify diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), draw conclusions about the prevalence of DPN and measures to prevent its progression.
