Аннотация
This article examines the pivotal role of the Jadid movement in reforming the judicial system of the Turkestan Governorate during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. By establishing modern educational institutions and advocating for legal reforms, the Jadids sought to address the inefficiencies and injustices of the traditional judicial framework. Their engagement with both local communities and Russian authorities facilitated a hybrid legal system that integrated modern principles with Islamic law. Despite facing opposition, the Jadids' efforts laid the groundwork for future reforms and continue to influence contemporary discussions on justice and rights in Central Asia.
