Аннотация
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is being explored as a treatment to enhance spinal nerve repair in children with spina bifida. This congenital condition impacts the spine and spinal cord, leading to complications such as paraparesis, incontinence, and gait disorders. In a study conducted at the Russian National Research Center from 2021 to 2024, 150 patients aged 5 months to 7 years received TMS alongside traditional treatments. Results showed significant improvements in muscle tone, gait, motor activity, and bladder and bowel function. ENMG findings revealed a 20-30% improvement in nerve conductivity, demonstrating TMS as a promising non-invasive intervention.
