Аннотация

This study examines the extent to which John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Ennio Morricone's compositions influence Ludwig Goransson's main theme for The Mandalorian. The study emphasizes the blending of traditions in Goransson's experimental approach to scoring by examining thematic motifs, instrumentation, and compositional techniques. A complex blending of influences is revealed by secondary analyses of Williams, Zimmer, and Morricone as well as primary sources, such as the official orchestral score and recording of The Mandalorian. Goransson combines Morricone's expressive use of unusual instrumentation and rhythmic motifs, Zimmer's romantic minimalism and hybrid orchestration, and Williams' harmonic sophistication and leitmotifs. This synthesis gives The Mandalorian a unique auditory identity while producing a distinctive soundscape that is consistent with the Star Wars universe.
