The role of physical education in shaping adolescents' psychological attitudes
Аннотация
This article examines the role of physical education and sports activities in shaping adolescents’ conscious attitudes toward their own health from scientific-theoretical and practical perspectives. The study highlights the psychological characteristics of adolescence, mechanisms for forming a healthy lifestyle from the standpoint of sports psychology, and the impact of physical activity on adolescents’ personal development. The positive influence of physical education and sports training on adolescents’ emotional state, motivational sphere, volitional qualities, self-esteem, and social adaptation is substantiated. Using a qualitative research approach, the study employed pedagogical observation, interviews, semi-structured interviews, and psychological tests, which made it possible to identify changes in adolescents’ attitudes toward a healthy lifestyle. The findings demonstrate that regular participation in sports contributes to the formation of a stable need for a healthy lifestyle, enhances personal responsibility and discipline, and promotes both mental and physical health among adolescents. The results of the study have practical significance for physical education teachers, coaches, and parents.
