Аннотация

"This article analyzes the developing relations between the Central Asian states and the Gulf countries. After the Central Asian states gained independence, the commonality of cultural and religious traditions, the factor of unity of the Muslim community and the common historical heritage of Central Asia with the countries of the Arabian Peninsula became the basis for the development of cooperation between the two regions. The Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, which have large financial resources, are interested in multilateral cooperation with all five countries of Central Asia, which, from an economic point of view, represent very promising targets for long-term and significant investments. This circumstance is confirmed by the strengthening of ties between the monarchies of the Arabian Peninsula and the countries of Central Asia in the trade, economic, investment, transport and communications, cultural, humanitarian, environmental and tourism spheres. At the same time, it is noted that the full implementation of the potential of cooperation is a matter of the future and requires the intensification of joint projects and the implementation of agreements reached at different levels."
