Аннотация

"The Jadids, who operated in the late XIX early XX century, considered the doom of the population to mass illiteracy as the root cause of stagnation in Turkestan, lagging behind in science. Due to the ignorance of the people about the political, spiritual, educational, and social changes taking place in the population, they realized that the only way to prevent further aggravation of the situation is to publish newspapers in the country in the national language. Newspapers were the first necessity for the spiritual upliftment of the population, so the Jadids sought to publish them so that they would serve the people. The article explores the thoughts of the Jadids of the Fergana Valley about how important the newspaper is in the public life of increasingly backward Turkestanis."
