Аннотация

This article explores the phenomena of phonetic assimilation and dissimilation in English and Uzbek languages. Phonetic assimilation refers to the process by which a sound becomes more like a neighboring sound, while dissimilation involves sounds becoming less similar. This study examines the types, mechanisms, and examples of these processes in both languages, highlighting their linguistic significance and implications for phonetic theory. By analyzing various examples, this article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how assimilation and dissimilation operate within the phonetic systems of English and Uzbek.
