Formation of plasmon polaritons in periodic structures in two-dimensional magnesium-doped aluminum films
Аннотация
The interaction between light and surface plasmon polaritons is of great interest in the fundamental physics of light-matter interaction. In this work, the reflection efficiency of magnesium-doped aluminum films with and without periodic structures are investigated. The periodic structures were fabricated by utilizing the laser ablation process with the first, second and third harmonics of the pulsed Nd3+:YAG laser. It was found that the reflection spectra of magnesium-doped aluminum films with periodic structures exhibit a dip in the region of 480–490 nm. With an increase in the light incidence angle, a redshift and an increase in the depth of the dip occurs. A possible origin of the observed effect is discussed.
