Аннотация

Adenoid vegetation, or the abnormal enlargement of the pharyngeal tonsils, is a common condition in children, leading to various clinical symptoms such as nasal obstruction, snoring, and recurrent ear infections. In children with complex birth defects or congenital disorders, the management of adenoid vegetations becomes more challenging due to the presence of underlying anatomical or functional abnormalities. Complex birth defects can include craniofacial malformations, genetic syndromes, or other systemic conditions that may complicate the typical course of adenoid enlargement. Conservative treatment options for adenoid vegetations in children with such conditions are particularly important as they offer a non-invasive approach to managing the condition while minimizing surgical risks. The purpose of this article is to explore the conservative treatment strategies for adenoid vegetation in children with complex birth defects, discussing the effectiveness and limitations of these methods..
