Аннотация

Modern processes of morphological adaptation and semantic assimilation of Anglicisms in Russian and Korean languages occur under globalization, digitalization, and social transformations. These processes shape unique mechanisms for incorporating borrowed vocabulary into the recipient language system and require detailed analysis from the perspective of their linguocultural specificity. Despite existing studies on borrowings, the issues of morphological integration and semantic transformation of Anglicisms in the context of these two languages remain insufficiently explored. The study employs descriptive, semantic, and comparative analysis methods. The material consists of examples of Anglicisms related to digital technologies, internet communication, and the media sphere, adapted into Russian and Korean languages. The analysis revealed that both languages tend morphological transformation of borrowed units, as well as their semantic expansion, which is implemented through language-specific word-formation mechanisms. It has been established that the semantic adaptation of Anglicisms is largely determined by sociocultural factors reflecting the peculiarities of the national worldview. The obtained results contribute to a deeper understanding of the interaction between morphological and cultural mechanisms in the process of Anglicism adaptation. They may be useful for further research in the fields of typology, linguoculturology, intercultural communication, and lexicography.
