Аннотация

The article presents studies on the development of a technology for the reduction of copper converter slag from a thermodynamic point of view. The studies were conducted using reducing components in the form of carbon and metallic iron, which are part of the clinker, which is currently an effective technogenic waste of the zinc plant of JSC Almalyk MMC. According to the results of the study, it was determined that an increase in temperature leads to an increase in the rate of reduction reactions involving solid carbon, a decrease in the rate of reduction reactions with metallothermic and carbon monoxide. In addition, it was possible to determine that the initial slag temperature of 1100 - 1200 o C is sufficient to reduce the main harmful component - magnetite, which contributes to the loss of copper with slags.
