Аннотация

The study examined interannual fluctuations in the rainfall- runoff regime of small rivers in the Middle Zeravshan basin. In order to improve the efficiency of water use in the Akhdaryosay and Kharagachsay basin, an analysis of long-term and monthly fluctuations in rainfall-runoff pattern, as well as changes in water volume during the year, was conducted using statistical and graphical analysis methods. The change and pattern of rainfall-runoff in the Middle Zeravshan basin were determined during the year by months and seasons. The study also highlights extreme years in terms of yearly and seasonal water volume, and by their tributaries. It was estimated that the annual flow of water volumes in the Akhdaryasay and Kharagachsay rivers has to be 41.90 million m 3 , and the possibility of their accumulation in reservoirs is pertinent. The study also underscores the possibility of generating electricity by building mini-hydroelectric power plants. Based on the following analysis, conclusions and recommendations were made on the assessment and effective use of water resources available both in the Akhdaryasay and Kharagachsay rivers basin.
