Аннотация

This study addresses the critical gap in pedagogical strategies for developing integrated national and global tourism culture among university students. Using a mixed-methods approach, 320 students were surveyed and 24 participants interviewed from Tourism, Translation, and Pedagogy faculties at three universities. Results revealed significant deficiencies in balanced cultural understanding, with students showing stronger orientation toward either national or global perspectives but rarely both. Key effective strategies identified include experiential learning through cultural immersion, interactive methods incorporating role-play and case studies, and integrated curricula combining heritage sites with local tourism resources. The findings provide practical frameworks for curriculum development and offer valuable insights for preparing culturally competent tourism professionals capable of promoting sustainable cultural exchange while preserving national heritage.
