Non-Destructive Testing of Metal Contaminants in Wheat Using Confocal Microwave Imaging
Аннотация
The detection of metal contaminants in wheat is necessary for the transportation, storage, procurement, and processing of grain; however, it requires a more effective and non-destructive testing method. Employing confocal microwave imaging technology, a detection method of metal contaminants in wheat was proposed. The study constructed a WR-75 waveguide antenna with an operating frequency range of 10 GHz to 15 GHz using the electromagnetic simulation software CST STUDIO SUITE. The S11 parameters of the waveguide antenna at various positions were simulated and collected for a rectangular wheat container with dimensions of 300 mm × 300 mm × 60 mm. The MATLAB controlled the cycle simulation process. The two-dimensional energy distribution map obtained using the confocal imaging algorithm successfully identified and located the spherical metal contaminant in the wheat, with the locating error being less than 21 mm along the x-direction and 16 mm along the y-direction.
