Аннотация

The hotel sector is mostly responsible for environmental damage due to its high energy use, water use, and rubbish output. Smart hotels-which mix innovative technologies to maximise resource consumption and lower environmentalimpact-have become a solution as sustainability takes front stage. The aim of this article is to investigate how smart technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), automation, and renewable energy solutions might enable the hotel sector to minimise its carbon footprint. This study underlines the environmental, economic, and operational benefits of smart hotels including higher energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and enhanced guest experiences by way of a comprehensive review of case studies and current literature. The results suggest that acceptance of smart technology determines not only sustainability but also long-term profitability and operational robustness. Still, challenges including high implementation costs, technology adoption restrictions, cybersecurity concerns, and data protection issues have to be addressed if perfect integration is to be guaranteed. By means of creative hotel innovations and strategic recommendations for overcoming challenges, this paper provides a road map for the future of sustainable hospitality.
