Towards a Corpus of Scientific Metaphors in Uzbek

This article explores metaphor models in the corpus of Uzbek scientific texts and their role in presenting scientific concepts in accessible and expressive language. The study identifies and classifies common metaphor models—including various metaphors. Statistical data are provided on their frequency and distribution across various scientific fields. The article highlights how these metaphors contribute to simplifying complex ideas, enhancing the imagery of scientific style, and improving communication with a wider audience. Recommendations are offered for the effective and appropriate use of metaphors in Uzbek scientific discourse.
