The Boundaries of Onomastic Vocabulary
Аннотация
Currently, the proper name demonstrates a higher degree. Each name arises for a specific subject or entity. When a name is created, it is associated with a specific object that it is intended for. This article discusses the issue of onomastics, in particular, proper names, which are unique names. It also talks about the distinctive characteristics of anthroponyms, the structure of proper names and the boundaries between proper and common names. The question of which words, phrases, parts of speech or phrases can act as proper names is analyzed. The problem of determining linguistic units capable of onomastic nomination is considered, related to the question of whether this ability should be considered as an integral characteristic or a special function of the word. The existence of proper names that coincide with common nouns sometimes causes them to be understood as a specific use of the same units in different contexts. A proper name differs from a common name not only in the volume and content of information, but also in the peculiarities of lexical paradigms. When a name becomes a proper name, it breaks the connection with the class and begins to designate an individual, violating the original semantics of the appellative.
