Аннотация

Terminological inconsistency, polysemy, and synonymy remain key challenges in the Uzbek mining sector, where professional communication depends on accurate and context-sensitive language. This study addresses the need for a standardized and semantically structured lexicon of mining terms in Uzbek, focusing on linguistic clarity, technical precision, and educational coherence. Drawing on a corpus of over 600,000 Uzbek-language tokens and applying semasiological analysis, the project developed a domain-specific thesaurus, "Konchilik terminlarining zamonaviy lug‘ati," comprising approximately 3,000 terms. These were grouped into thematic fields such as extraction technologies, mine safety, and geological classification. The analysis integrates multilingual comparison with Russian and English equivalents, and identifies polysemous or ambiguous usage patterns. Expert review ensured the thesaurus aligns with real-world technical discourse. While ontological modeling is not fully implemented, the thesaurus structure allows future integration into knowledge-based systems and translation tools. The results contribute to terminological modernization and support safer, more coherent communication across education, research, and industrial documentation in Uzbekistan.
