Morphological and optical features of one-dimensional carbon nanostructures
Аннотация
This article presents a new method for obtaining C60 fullerene-based nanostructures with variousmorphologies. It demonstrates the possibility of controlling the shape and structure of thesynthesized nanomaterial by selecting solvents and varying the substrate temperature. Thestructure and optical properties of the synthesized one-dimensional C60 nanomaterials were determined. The formation of C60 nanowhiskers (with average geometric dimensions of 1.8 μmin length and 80 nm in width) was found to occur with a hexagonal arrangement. It was revealedthat thermal treatment (up to ~140°C) only removes the solvent molecules from thesolvates and does not lead to other changes in the structure. The mechanism of the formationof one-dimensional fullerene nanostructures within the volume of an evaporating droplet of aC60 fullerene molecular solution on a solid substrate surface is discussed.
