THE INTERRELATION OF PARCELLATION AND METAPHOR

The article analyzes the role of parcellation as a means of attention focusing in cognitive linguistics. It highlights how parcellation enhances expressiveness in literary and journalistic discourse and contributes to guiding the reader’s perception. The study explores the interaction between parcellation and metaphor, emphasizing that their combination significantly strengthens the persuasive and stylistic impact of discourse. The findings show that parcellation brings implicit information into focus, while metaphor deepens imagery and emotional resonance. Thus, both are evaluated as essential tools of modern discourse analysis.
