Аннотация
This article examines the pedagogical foundations for fostering national identity and cultivating the spirit of patriotism through history education, using Uzbekistan as a case study. It explores how historical narratives, cultural heritage, and national values can be effectively integrated into the curriculum to strengthen students’ awareness of their cultural roots and sense of belonging. The study emphasizes the role of interactive teaching methods, project-based learning, and the use of multimedia and digital resources in creating an engaging and contextually relevant learning environment. Furthermore, it analyzes the impact of historical consciousness on students’ civic engagement, moral values, and socio-cultural integration. The findings highlight that when history education is approached through both traditional and innovative pedagogical strategies, it not only transmits factual knowledge but also instills pride, responsibility, and a strong commitment to the nation’s development and preservation of its cultural legacy.
