Retrospective analysis of determining the level of awareness of medical personnel about the risk factors for the development of caries in childhood
Аннотация
Dental caries is a multi-factorial disease and is one of the most common health problems in childhood. A recent meta-analysis shows that the global prevalence of baby tooth caries (with a sample size of 80,405 people) was 46.2%, and the global prevalence of permanent tooth caries (with a sample size of 1,454,871 people) was 53.8%. Also, children's tooth decay is more common in developing countries than in developed countries. This fact may be due to differences in the influencing risk factors (socio-demographic status, education, dietary habits, oral hygiene, access to dental services, oral microbiota, salivation, insufficient fluoridation, frequent consumption of dietary sugars).
