Using IR Fourier spectroscopy, the features of the structural-group composition of bitumens isolated from Turonian and Cenomanian rocks of well 5 of the Ziaetdin field (New Uzbekistan) were studied. A comparative analysis of the obtained characteristics was carried out. Distinctive features of the Turonian bitumens were revealed. The conducted studies should be considered as the first experience of using IR spectrometry in the territory of the Zerafshan Depression, which may contribute to solving the spectroscopy issue of oil and gas potential prospects.
