Аннотация

This paper delves into the current methodologies employed in teaching Chinese (Mandarin) and the extent to which they are able to engender the development of language skills. The primary methods examined are Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Learning, Audio-Lingual Method, Total Physical Response (TPR), Blended Learning, Flipped Classroom, Gamification, and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). The analysis of each method includes its concepts, procedures, benefits, and adaptability to different levels of learners. The research reveals that the mixture of old and new methods as well as the use of technology-based tools greatly enhances students’ linguistic competence, cultural understanding, and motivation. This article is full of practical strategies that educators can use to effectively teach Chinese in face-to-face as well as virtual‍ ‍‌classes.
