WAYS TO DEVELOP HEALTHY LIFESTYLE SKILLS AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The development of healthy lifestyle skills among university students is a critical issue in modern society, given the increasing prevalence of sedentary behavior, stress, unhealthy nutrition, and harmful habits among young people. University years represent a formative period during which long-term health behaviors and life values are shaped. This article explores effective ways to develop healthy lifestyle skills among students by analyzing educational, psychological, physical, and social mechanisms. Using a systematic literature review, theoretical analysis, and comparative approaches, the study examines the role of physical education, health education, institutional support, digital technologies, and social environments in promoting healthy behaviors. The findings demonstrate that an integrated approach combining physical activity, health literacy, motivation, and supportive infrastructure significantly enhances students’ ability to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle. The study provides practical recommendations for higher education institutions, policymakers, and educators aimed at improving student well-being and long-term public health outcomes.
