Аннотация
The modification of inorganic porous substrates with a carbon phase via the pyrolysis of polyfurfuryl alcohol has been studied. The effectiveness of modifying substrates, such as carbon fibers and gamma-alumina granules, stable to temperatures up to 800°C in an inert atmosphere was demonstrated. Zeolite-based substrates were damaged during modification due to their low hydrothermal and thermal stability. Modification increased the specific surface area of the substrates and developed microporosity in the material. Modification of gamma-alumina substrates led to a decrease in the concentration of acid sites, which enabled the control of the physicochemical properties of the surface.
