Аннотация

Medical photo protection has become very crucial over the past years due to data security and privacy issues. It is necessary to transmit and store medical images safely to be diagnosed and treated. Watermarking does not distort a photo in any way but it also adds valuable information. This is the way of defending such images. To ensure that patients data are not compromised in transit and storage, medical pictures watermarking is mandatory. This is a hybrid method that uses Particle Swarm Optimization together with Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) to enhance medical imaging watermarking. The frequency domain is the most efficient in embedding locations through the recommended DWT-PSO architecture. This architecture is a trade off between the invisibility of watermarks and resistance to image processing. The suggested approach inserts the watermark within the high frequencies sub-bands of DWT based on the use of PSO to identify the optimal coefficients of PSNR and NC. Lab experiments indicate that the process is more competent, invisible and strong than the conventional practices. Evidence indicates that DWT-PSO watermarking can help to protect medical photographs without compromising the quality of the diagnostic results.
