This chapter examines the combination of magnetic nanoparticles with piezoelectric materials to develop sophisticated composite sensors for detecting vibrations. These sensors integrate the exceptional sensitivity of piezoelectric materials with the distinctive characteristics of magnetic nanoparticles, leading to improved performance in many applications. The main topics of discussion include the mechanisms that enhance the piezoelectric effect, sophisticated signal processing techniques, and the benefits compared to those of conventional sensors. The chapter also emphasises the applications of industrial, medical, and environmental monitoring, specifically focusing on the existing difficulties in fabrication, integration, and scalability. The text identifies future research paths and trends, highlighting the potential for substantial breakthroughs in vibration sensing technology.
