Аннотация

This chapter examines the complex relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and civil rights, highlighting how algorithmic systems can both enhance opportunities and intensify inequalities. While AI offers advancements in efficiency, healthcare, and public services, it also risks perpetuating bias, eroding privacy, and undermining democratic freedoms if left unchecked. The discussion emphasizes the need to balance innovation with rights protection by embedding fairness, accountability, and transparency into AI design and governance. Strategies include legal reforms, technological safeguards, participatory governance, and international collaboration. The chapter concludes with a call for a multi-stakeholder roadmap to ensure that AI development respects justice, equality, and human dignity in the digital era.
