Аннотация

Green deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have emerged as a sustainable and efficient alternative for gas capture applications, particularly in mitigating industrial emissions of harmful gases like carbon dioxide (CO₂) and sulfur dioxide (SO₂). This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of DES, highlighting their environmentally friendly composition, tunable properties, and low toxicity. The mechanisms by which DES interact with various gas molecules are explored, focusing on both physical and chemical absorption processes. Industrial applications are discussed with an emphasis on carbon capture and storage (CCS), showcasing how DES can enhance efficiency and reduce the environmental footprint of gas capture technologies. The chapter also addresses technical challenges such as viscosity and scalability, offering insights into future research directions aimed at optimizing DES formulations and processes. By integrating DES into gas capture systems, there is significant potential to advance sustainable industrial practices and contribute to global efforts in environmental conservation.
