Equality of Labor Rights as a Principle of Labor Law: Foreign Experience and the Practice of Uzbekistan
Аннотация
This article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the principle of equality of labor rights, namely the equal rights and opportunities of every individual in the field of labor, as well as the strict prohibition of discrimination. The essence and content of this principle and its manifestation in international standards and the labor legislation of foreign countries are examined. In addition, the level of ensuring equality of labor rights within Uzbekistan’s labor legislation and practice, recent reforms, legal guarantees, and their implementation are analyzed. The study employs a comparative legal analysis method, examining international instruments (including conventions of the International Labour Organization), foreign experience, and data related to the legislation of Uzbekistan. The findings indicate that the principle of equality of labor rights is one of the fundamental principles of modern labor law, recognized at the legislative level in most countries, and that in Uzbekistan this principle is being strengthened through constitutional and legal guarantees.
