Аннотация

Chronic tonsillitis is one of the most common chronic inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract and serves as a persistent source of infection that adversely affects the overall health status. This article evaluates the clinical effectiveness of modern conservative and instrumental treatment methods for chronic tonsillitis. The study was conducted during 2024–2025 and included 57 patients diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis, who were divided into compensated and decompensated forms of the disease. Treatment modalities included laser lacunotomy, ultrasonic tonsillar lacuna irrigation, and combined conservative therapy. Based on clinical, laboratory, and instrumental assessments, laser lacunotomy demonstrated the highest efficacy in reducing symptoms, improving lacunar clearance, and prolonging remission duration. Ultrasonic lacuna irrigation showed moderate effectiveness in decreasing purulent plugs and reducing the frequency of exacerbations. Combined conservative therapy alleviated clinical symptoms but resulted in lower rates of stable remission. During a 6-month follow-up period, clinical improvement was observed in 68% of patients. The findings indicate that an individualized treatment approach, guided by microbiological evaluation and incorporating modern medical technologies, significantly enhances clinical outcomes in the management of chronic tonsillitis.
