THERMAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROASTING PROCESS OF GOLD-BEARING SULFIDE ORES AND THEIR PROCESSING POTENTIAL
Аннотация
This thesis investigates the thermal characteristics of the roasting process of gold-bearing sulfide ores and their influence on the efficiency of subsequent processing. The study was carried out using thermal analysis methods (TGA–DSC), which made it possible to identify the successive stages of oxidative decomposition of sulfide minerals. The results indicate that intensive destruction of the sulfide matrix occurs in the temperature range of 400–650 °C, accompanied by significant mass loss. Oxidation of iron-, copper-, and arsenic-bearing sulfides leads to the formation of a porous structure, creating favorable conditions for gold liberation and enhanced recoverability. The obtained findings can be applied to optimize roasting temperature regimes and to improve the efficiency of subsequent hydrometallurgical processing of gold-bearing ores.
