Cybercorruption: legal nature, international trends, and comprehensive solutions for Uzbekistan

The article anylizes the phenomenon of cybercorruption from a legal perspective. Cybercorruption is legally defined as the transformation of the traditional institute of corruption in the digital environment. This nature of cybercorruption creates challanges and opportunities in areas such as development of criminal-legal qualification, management of electronic evidence, international cooperation, and asset recovery. Thus, the article conducts a scientific discussion using examples from international instruments, corruption crimes committed through information and communication technologies, and current changes in the legislation of Uzbekistan related to the institute of digital evidence. Legal and institutional solutions to combat cybercorruption are proposed as well.
