THE EFFECTS OF ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE USE ON LUNG FUNCTION AND COGNITIVE ABILITIES AMONG YOUTH: A LITERATURE REVIEW

This article analyzes the effects of electronic cigarettes (vaping) on the pulmonary system and cognitive functions, in particular on attention, among schoolchildren and university students, based on the last five years of scientific literature. Studies show that both nicotine and nicotine-free aerosols cause inflammation in lung tissue and negatively affect neurocognitive development.
