Diagnosis of the development of reflexive skills of future speech therapists
Аннотация
This study focuses on the importance of developing reflexive skills as a key component of the successful professional activity of future speech therapists, which, in turn, contributes to improving the quality of speech therapy work. The purpose of this study is to diagnose the development of reflexive skills in a future speech therapist and to make recommendations for improving students' training in the field of reflexive skills. This article will use an integrated approach that includes both quantitative and qualitative research methods. We conducted a study at Kazan Federal University, which was attended by 3rd year students in speech therapy (72 students). The data obtained indicate significant challenges in understanding and implementing reflection in their professional work. Students are characterized by underdeveloped reflexive skills and a lack of systemic reflection. Misunderstandings of the concept, limited application, and skepticism about reflection create significant barriers to its successful application in the education process. The research emphasizes the need for a reconsideration of approaches to teaching reflection skills and creating a supportive environment where students can openly share their thoughts and experiences. Therefore, further study and practical application of diagnostic techniques for reflexive skills in the learning process will not only reinforce the theoretical foundation, but also contribute to the emergence of more competent and successful professionals in speech therapy. Incorporating reflexive skills into curricula is an important step towards enhancing students’ professional competence.
