Supporting Families and Children with Special Needs in the Early Help System: Theoretical Aspect
Аннотация
Support for families and children with special needs from an early age has become a critically relevant area of research and practice. The aim of this theoretical study is to investigate the problem of support for families and children with special educational needs within the early intervention system, to analyze existing approaches, and to develop a set of recommendations for improving the effectiveness and quality of services for these families. The comparative method and content analysis of diverse scientific perspectives on the early intervention system allowed for the formulation of key aspects of supporting families and children with special needs. The results of the study indicate that scientists from different countries insist that comprehensive and systemic family support requires the application of integrated approaches involving multidisciplinary teams of specialists: physicians, social workers, psychologists, and educators. The creation of a holistic support system necessitates interdisciplinary collaboration that accounts for the child's special needs, individual characteristics, and family context. The conclusions emphasize that the early intervention system plays a key role in supporting families and children with special educational needs by creating favorable conditions for the development of young children and assisting families in overcoming difficulties. The novelty of the study lies in its argument for the necessity of coordinated work among specialists of different profiles and the active involvement of parents as partners in the decision-making process. Future research should focus on systematizing and empirically testing recommendations for the successful development of early intervention systems for children with disabilities.
