Аннотация

The purpose of this research was to study the specifics of interrelations between different types of academic motivation and experienced mental (emotional, cognitive, functional) and physical states related to the education process of high school students taking into account the peculiarities of their temperament. The tendency of the examinees to demonstrate a particular type of temperament – melancholic, choleric, phlegmatic, sanguine – was determined by comparing their level of neuroticism and extroversion. The study involved 196 high school students aged 16–17 years. As a result, differences in the structure of the studied interrelations correlated with one of the four known types of temperament were identified in groups of students. This allowed us to conclude about the specifics of academic motivation interference and self-evaluation of the frequency of experiencing several mental states depending on the respondents’ tendency to show signs of melancholic, choleric, phlegmatic, or sanguine types of behavior. It was discovered that the type of temperament determines both the number of specific interrelations and the propensity to experience certain mental states during the study due to different types of school motivation. It was revealed that the sanguine and melancholic types of temperament determine the largest number of specific relations, among which are both relations to the emotional, cognitive, and functional states, and relations with the physical states. The dependence of complaints about eyesight issues on different types of school motivation, depending on the temperament, was observed.
