Аннотация

The relevance of this study is seen in the fact that programming is gaining popularity not only among adults, but among children alike. Thus, the trend of robotics has grown in a short time. From pre-school age it has become possible to attend robotics courses and learn the first steps in programming. The courses aim to develop children's scientific, technical and creative potential by teaching them the basics of engineering, programming and robotics. Almost every school has a robotics club. But it is not always well organised in educational institutions. Often course designers face various problems. Based on the aforementioned, the purpose of the study is to determine the organisational and methodological conditions for creating a Robotics course in a primary school, as well as to identify professionally relevant competencies of primary school teachers for teaching the basics of robotics. The article explores the experience of teachers willing to teach children the basics of robotics. Sixteen teachers from one grammar school participated in the study. The study leads to the conclusion that organisational and methodological conditions should be taken into account when designing the Robotics course in primary school. This article identifies significant competencies of primary school teachers for teaching the basics of robotics. The features of creating a robotics course were studied. The results of the study can be used by primary school and computer science teachers when designing a robotics course for primary schools.
