This article presents the historical aspects of the development and organization of neurosurgical care worldwide, neurosurgical treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, modern methods of neurosurgical treatment of brain tumors, a review of the effectiveness of modern methods for treating lumbar intervertebral disc herniations, and a differentiated approach to the treatment of neurosurgical patients.
